The United States, Denmark and Greenland signed a new security agreement allowing Washington to expand its military presence on the Arctic island. The pact permits two new U.S. military sites at Narsarsuaq and Mestersvig and expansion of the existing Pituffik Space Base, while placing greater emphasis on NATO’s role in Arctic security.
