Decision Desk HQ called the Los Angeles mayor’s race Wednesday evening. City Councilwoman Nithya Raman, the Democratic Socialists of America member who entered the race late to challenge incumbent Karen Bass from the left, is projected the winner. Raman has 405,193 votes (51.67 percent). Bass has 379,069 (48.33 percent). The margin is 26,124 votes with roughly 67 to 72 percent of expected ballots tabulated and more mail still coming.
Bass held a narrow lead on election night after the November 3 polls closed. The lead flipped after midnight as additional ballots arrived. Raman’s margin then grew. California’s mail-in system and multi-day counting process produced the same late-ballot shift that has favored progressive candidates before. Officials describe it as younger and more progressive voters returning ballots later. The pattern fits a state that mails a ballot to every registered voter and keeps counting long after Election Day.
Los Angeles just Elected Nithya Raman, a dues-paying member of the Democratic Socialists of America, to be their next Mayor.
Raman oversaw all fraud as the chair of the homelessness committee and despite having a $1 billion budget, homelessness rose. She is directly responsible for funneling your tax dollars to scammers and voted more than 60 times against no-camping zones for homeless encampments.
She has called to defund the police, voted against hiring 170 more LAPD officers and now she reportedly plans to fire the LAPD chief. She also vowed to audit LAPD’s policies to ensure they follow Los Angeles’ sanctuary city ordinance to protect illegal aliens. The LAPD union is warning of “Armageddon” when she enters office.
The Socialist takeover of America’s cities is here.
God help Los Angeles

Raman is not a generic Democrat. She is a dues-paying DSA member. The Los Angeles chapter endorsed her in September by 937 to 484. National DSA leadership nearly rescinded that endorsement on a 14-13 vote days before the election over her stance on Israel and BDS, then kept it. She has been called LA’s version of Zohran Mamdani. During her 2020 council run she called for defunding the police. She later walked parts of that back while still opposing some Bass police-hiring requests. Bass, the establishment Democrat backed by the usual machine, once eulogized a Communist Party USA leader as a “friend and mentor” and met with Fidel Castro in the 1970s. She still lost to the candidate who ran further left.
🚨 BREAKING: Nithya Raman defeating Karen Bass for Mayor of Los Angeles, 405,193 (51.7%) to 379,069 (48.3%), after 70% of ballots returned (per Decision Desk HQ projection)
LA had to choose between the communist incumbent who was in Ghana while the city burned and a card-carrying member of the Democratic Socialists of America.
Bass is a clown, Raman is a clown.
Who are we kidding, CA is a complete circus.

California remains a pure voter-fraud state by design. The Justice Department identified more than 20,000 likely noncitizens on the state’s voter rolls and sued to force officials to sequester their ballots. Dozens of green-card holders have already been charged with illegal registration and voting. State and county officials refused the request to set those ballots aside. Every registered voter receives a mail ballot. Counting continues for days. The system rewards the side that organizes the late returns.
Spencer Pratt, the reality-television Republican who finished third in the June primary with 25.5 percent, never reached the runoff. The general election was always a contest between the far-left incumbent and the socialist who wanted to go further. The extreme left just beat the so-called normal far-left Democrats. The same dynamic is visible from New York City to Los Angeles.
Los Angeles now gets a DSA mayor while the tents, the crime, and the broken basics remain. Track the full results, the late-ballot pattern, and the larger election-integrity fight on the Whatfinger News election hub at https://dedicatedissues.com/election/.
