MAKE IT STOP: The Immigration Grift Is Turning America Into Something Else
Mark Dice’s latest Vid (Above) hit the feed under the title MAKE IT STOP – THIS IS NOT AMERICA. He walks through the Nolan Wells case, where a grand jury returned no true bill and found the teen’s death consistent with drowning, while activists and online accounts pushed a racial story anyway. He hits the Virginia campus shooting, body-cam realities, and Newsom’s latest package of bills aimed at ICE. The through-line is simple: the country keeps getting rearranged in ways that do not look or function like the one most Americans grew up in.
One of the biggest rearrangements is the money pipeline that turned the border surge into an industry. Under the previous administration, a web of United Nations agencies and hundreds of NGOs ran aid stations along the migration routes through Latin America and then handled soft landings on this side. The Center for Immigration Studies and others documented how U.S. taxpayer dollars—billions over several years—supported the effort that brought millions across. House committees later demanded records from more than 200 of those groups. Catholic Charities, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, Southwest Key Programs, and others received large federal grants while executives collected substantial pay. Global Refuge’s CEO pulled in roughly $686,000 even as the organization’s revenue dropped sharply. Southwest Key’s top executives saw average compensation jump into the $700,000 range while the group was later sued over alleged abuse of migrant children in its care.

That money did not stop at the border. Illegal aliens have used stolen identities to collect Social Security, Medicaid, and SNAP benefits. DHS and ICE have begun targeted operations against those drawing food stamps meant for citizens. Recent cases include Haitian nationals arrested for fraudulent SNAP access and an illegal alien from Mexico who used a dead person’s identity to pull nearly $100,000 in Social Security plus tens of thousands more in state benefits. A Massachusetts scheme involving 11 illegal aliens and others allegedly defrauded programs of more than $1.4 million. These are not edge cases; they are the predictable result of weak verification and sanctuary jurisdictions that refuse to cooperate with detainers.
States controlled by the same political coalition keep layering on more friction. Newsom signed a package of more than 20 bills that includes a 25 percent tax on private detention operators (the revenue earmarked for immigration-related services), bans on certain tools used by federal agents, restrictions on state property for enforcement, and expanded civil lawsuits against officers. California already extended Medi-Cal coverage to illegal immigrants in multiple age brackets. The practical effect is to raise the cost and legal risk of removing people who entered illegally while the fiscal bill for housing, medical care, schooling, and incarceration continues. A White House Council of Economic Advisers analysis put the lifetime net fiscal cost per illegal immigrant at about $166,716, with the current population projected to generate $1.4–1.9 trillion in net taxpayer costs. Earlier FAIR estimates put the annual net burden above $150 billion.

Crime and non-assimilation travel with the volume. The Old Dominion University shooting in March involved Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, a naturalized citizen born in Sierra Leone, who attacked an ROTC group while yelling “Allahu Akbar.” One instructor was killed before students stopped him. ICE continues to publicize arrests of previously deported or criminally convicted illegal aliens for homicide, rape, child sexual abuse, and gang activity. Sanctuary policies in places like New York have rejected thousands of detainers, leaving people with serious records free to reoffend. The same pattern appears in welfare and identity fraud cases that keep surfacing in the enforcement data.
None of this requires conspiracy theories about secret cabals. It is ordinary politics and ordinary incentives: NGOs and contractors that grow with the number of arrivals, politicians who treat non-citizens as a future electorate or a protected class, and a bureaucracy that treats border enforcement as optional. Dice’s video captures the cumulative effect in real time—cases that get reframed, schools and streets that feel less stable, and officials who respond by restricting the people trying to enforce existing law. The numbers on spending, fraud, and criminal arrests are public. The pattern is not subtle.
The Trump administration has already cut the southern border crossings sharply and started clawing back some of the NGO funding and benefit access. Whether that holds depends on whether the next Congress and the courts treat the remaining incentives as the problem they are. Until then, the grift and the volume keep rewriting the country in ways that match the title of the video.
