• Benny Johnson highlighted Elon Musk’s $1 billion investment in Skydance, the new media giant formed by Paramount’s recent buyout of Warner Bros. Discovery, which owns CNN, raising questions about whether Musk could influence or reshape the network he once called the “Disinformation News Network.”
• Musk’s stake comes as Skydance faces heavy debt and plans big cost cuts, giving him a financial role in a company that includes major news outlets like CNN and CBS, with past ties to the Ellison family adding to the story of potential changes ahead.
• While not a full takeover, the move sparks talk of a “house cleaning” at CNN due to Musk’s history of criticizing legacy media, making this a key development to watch in the shifting world of big news organizations.
