The desk for unfinished questions

Whatfinger Mysteries: The Open File

Claims Joe Rogan keeps circling. The papers, the episodes, and the other chair at the table. You do the reading.

Watch tonight

Four doors that are not a three-hour Joe episode. Click the card or open the file under it.

Joe talks like a man who found a locked cabinet in the back of the universe and cannot walk away from it. Rats that learn a maze on one coast, then rats on the other coast finish faster. A pool dive that turns a salesman into a pianist. A CIA program that sat psychics in a room and asked them to draw a target on the other side of the planet. DMT elves that keep showing up in other people’s trips.

Most sites sell the magic or sneer at it. The Open File does the third job. Name the claim. Put the original document on the table. Link Joe’s episode and the timestamp. Seat a believer and a skeptic. Stamp what is on the record. Then get out of the way.

Tonight’s 20 minutes

The maze rats. Joe told the story again on Sept 24, 2026 with Tyler Engle. The name under it is morphic resonance. The lab work is McDougall at Harvard and a twenty-year Melbourne rerun.

How to read a file

Every file carries a stamp. Treat the stamp as the floor we can defend.

Documented / wild read Real program / fight over the score Live scientific fight Thin core / large story

Live means the paper drawer is on the page. Opening means the short file is up so the card works; the full drawer is still being stacked.

The maze rats and morphic resonance

Train rats in a water tank at Harvard. Later generations — and some rats in other labs — start finishing faster. Sheldrake calls it a species-wide habit field.

The knock on the head that unlocks a piano

A dive into a shallow pool. A beating outside a karaoke bar. Lightning on a pay phone. Then music, fractals, or calendar math that was not there Monday.

Stargate and the remote viewers

Hal Puthoff, Ingo Swann, Joe McMoneagle. A real classified program. The fight is whether the drawings hit often enough to matter.

Are we running on somebody else’s box?

Bostrom’s paper is a probability argument. Joe’s version is NPCs, glitches, and the render distance popping. Rizwan Virk sat in the chair for the game-engine read.

What this desk is for

Humans like mystery. Joe likes it. So do we. The Open File is entertainment with a paper drawer. A reader should spend twenty minutes and walk out with the real name of the thing, the first study, two videos that disagree, and a reason to keep digging.

We will call a weak claim weak. We will not do a victory lap on it. A rat experiment that ran for thirty years still deserves the thirty years. A concussion that unlocks piano still deserves the hospital chart. A CIA program that existed still deserves the FOIA dump. After that, you pick the ceiling.

How a file gets on the table

  • Joe has returned to it more than once, or it sits under a story he cannot drop.
  • There is at least one primary document, program, or medical case — not only a clip with scary music.
  • There is a serious person on the other side of the table.
  • A reader can finish a “start here tonight” path in twenty minutes.
