President Trump is doing what weak leaders never could: turning the Strait of Hormuz into an American-controlled corridor while the mullahs watch their primary revenue stream choke to death. The Left and their media keep lying about what Trump accomplished, as we control the area and are taking out millions upon millions of barrels now. But since the media is controlled by the Left that wants to get Democrats elected in November, they lie about the entire situation. They even go as far as claiming we lost or are losing the war even though the Iranian Navy is gone, their air force is gone, and they have no defenses against our bombings.
Axios, citing three U.S. officials, reported that roughly 40 tankers transited the southern deep-water channel through Hormuz on Friday night alone, moving about 16 million barrels of oil out of the Persian Gulf. That single-night haul more than doubles the pace officials had described in recent weeks. Traffic through the strait has exploded nearly 400% in two weeks—from around 40 ships to nearly 200 last week—according to UKMTO data cited by ZeroHedge and others. The route hugging Oman’s coast, backed by U.S. military presence, is deliberately designed to keep Iranian gunboats and “toll collectors” at arm’s length.
Reports indicate that crossings are up 400% in the Strait of Hormuz over the past two weeks as the U.S. Navy oversees other oil tankers carrying millions of barrels of crude through a safer passage south of the strait.

This is not charity for the global economy as we all know. This is strategy. CENTCOM has already facilitated the safe passage of roughly 1,300 commercial vessels and more than 660 million barrels of crude since early May. Energy Secretary Chris Wright has repeatedly stated that U.S. Navy operations are moving oil and products at rates approaching 8–10 million barrels per day on average in recent periods, with peak nights hitting far higher. Pre-war, Hormuz carried about one-fifth of the world’s seaborne oil. Under Trump, the strait is no longer Iran’s hostage. Trump himself called it “an American territory right now” in a South Carolina speech, half-joking about having time on a Friday night to “bomb Iran a little bit more” if needed.
2. Cumulative Barrels Facilitated The climbing total: 660+ million barrels moved with U.S. protection since early May while Iranian ports stay locked down.

While Gulf oil from America’s partners keeps flowing under U.S. escort—often “dark” to avoid Iranian detection—Iran’s own exports have been hammered. The U.S. naval blockade on Iranian ports, reimposed after the short-lived June MOU collapsed, has slashed loadings onto Iranian tankers. Independent trackers and reports show Iranian crude exports collapsing from the brief June rebound back toward levels far below pre-war averages. The regime’s currency has cratered; hardliners are reduced to threats against neighbors while their economy bleeds. Iran can still sneak some barrels to China via shadow fleets and existing stocks at sea, but the steady, high-volume cash flow that once funded proxies, missiles, and repression is gone. Trump’s economic D-Day is real: maximum pressure on Tehran while the rest of the Gulf’s oil reaches markets.
3. Traffic Surge Chart Nearly 400% jump in ships through the strait in just two weeks via the U.S.-backed Oman route. Visual proof Iran is losing grip.

The real pressure point for consumers is not crude itself—strategic petroleum reserves and alternative flows have offset much of the Gulf production disruption. It is diesel and refined products. Crack spreads have hit extreme levels as refining capacity in the region took hits and Russian refining remains strained. Analysts like Jeff Currie have been clear: the economy runs on gasoline and diesel, not raw barrels. Yet even here, the Trump approach prioritizes keeping barrels moving under American control rather than letting Iran weaponize the chokepoint indefinitely.
4. Iran Starved vs Allies Flowing Side-by-side: Iran’s pre-war exports crushed by the blockade next to the millions of barrels from Gulf partners moving under American escort.

This is the opposite of the old playbook. Previous administrations begged, paid, and looked the other way while Iran used Hormuz as leverage and banked petrodollars. Trump’s team degraded Iran’s ability to project power, established protected shipping lanes, and kept the blockade on Iranian ports tight. Result: millions of barrels leave the Gulf every few nights under U.S. watch, and the regime that once threatened to shut the strait is watching its income evaporate.
Iran’s leaders still issue threats and claim selective control. The data and the tankers tell a different story. America is extracting the oil. Iran is losing the money. Strength works. The media and th Democrats continue to lie to us all to push their own sick narratives.
