The number of high school students who identify as gay, lesbian or bisexual has been rapidly declining over the past 3 years. This PROVES that it was all a social contagion! Hopefully this will happen with trans people as well.
It’s not just high schoolers. Among college women in FIRE’s surveys, the % bisexual is down ~3% since 2023 & queer/other is down ~5%. Among college men, the % bisexual dropped ~2% & queer/other dropped ~5%. Among gender nonconforming students, no change (3% are heterosexual). – Missing Data Depot
Ninth-grade girls identifying as bisexual were cut in half in four years. That is the number the CDC’s 2025 Youth Risk Behavior Survey just put on the table, and San Diego State psychologist Jean Twenge is the one who bothered to pull it out of a dataset Washington would rather talk around. The Left does not want you to know the facts. Thy stole billions of US taxpayer dollars for their USAID scams forcing bisexuality lessons on our people. They failed… and Americans are waking up to that fact.
Twenty-six percent of ninth-grade girls called themselves bisexual in 2021. Thirteen percent did in 2025. Lesbian, gay, or bisexual identification among those same freshman girls went from 30 percent to 17 percent. Twenge called it a free fall, and she said the drop is driven almost entirely by girls.
CDC posted the 2025 national file this month. The official Youth Health in Focus write-up spent its pages on diet, sleep, phones, and suicide risk. Sexual identity did not make the highlight reel. The questions are still in the survey. The answers are still in the file. Worthy News, the Daily Caller, and Twenge’s X thread are what put the freshman numbers in public view.
The run-up was the tell
This did not start in 2025. It started when the label became a hall pass.
From 2015 to 2021, LGB identification among high-school girls jumped 128 percent. Boys nearly doubled from 2015 to 2023, up 99 percent. In 2021, one in five female high-school students said they were bisexual. Another 3.7 percent said lesbian. By the 2023 survey, 27 percent of high-school girls and 9 percent of high-school boys identified as LGB. Official 2023 tables put female bisexual identification at 18.3 percent and male bisexual identification at 5.0 percent, with another 13.5 percent of girls and 4.1 percent of boys parked in “other” or “questioning.”
That is a social pattern, not a sudden rewrite of human nature as we all know. The Democrats forced their propaganda down our throats, and only the stupid or easily confused follow their lunacy. A 14-year-old girl in 2021 had TikTok, a school counselor fluent in the acronym, and a peer group that treated “bi” as the default cool answer. Four years later the newest ninth-grade class is giving a different answer. America is waking up.
Girls moved the needle. Boys barely moved.
By 2025, female high-school LGB identification was 22 percent. Male identification was 7 percent. Girls dropped five points in two years. Boys dropped two. Senior girls barely budged, from 28 percent LGB in 2023 to 25 percent in 2025. The kids who already had the label kept it. The kids walking into the building for the first time did not pick it up at the same rate.
Twenge’s grade chart makes the age cut obvious. Ninth graders went from 17 percent LGB in 2023 to 11 percent in 2025. Twelfth graders went from about 18 percent to 16 percent. Tenth and eleventh sit in between. The decline is youngest first.
That matters. If this were a stable orientation discovered earlier and earlier, the freshman rate would keep climbing. It did the opposite.
It is not only a checkbox
Twenge flagged behavior, not just identity. Among sexually active teens, girls reporting same-sex partners sit above 20 percent and have dropped nearly 10 points since 2021. Boys have drifted the other way, just over 10 percent and still climbing slowly. Identity and partners are not the same thing. Both moved among girls.
CDC’s own 2025 explorer still shows the cost on the kids who kept the label. Self-harm in the past year: 12.1 percent of heterosexual students, 40.5 percent of bisexual students, 32.8 percent of gay or lesbian students. The survey never stopped measuring the wreckage. It just stopped leading with the identity counts.
Adults plateaued. The youngest cohort blinked.
Left Wing Gallup’s 2025 adult poll is the other half of the map. LGBTQ+ identification among U.S. adults sat at 9.0 percent after a 9.3 percent reading in 2024 — the first dip since Gallup started asking in 2012, when the figure was 3.5 percent. Bisexual remains the bulk: 5.3 percent of all adults, 58.6 percent of the LGBTQ+ total. Adult women come in at 10.5 percent LGBTQ+. Adult men at 5.6 percent. Under-30 adults are still at 23 percent LGBTQ+, and 16.1 percent of that age band say bisexual. Women 18 to 29 sit near 31 percent LGBTQ+. Men the same age sit near 11 percent.
Twenge’s separate BRFSS work on 18-to-24-year-olds is messier. Early 2025 slices looked like a drop. Full-year 2025 data looked more like a stall after the 2014–2022 triple. Young-adult women identifying as bisexual were still near 23 percent in that file. High school is where the floor gave way first.
Read that in order. The adults who already aged into the label are holding. The 14- and 15-year-old girls who would have been the next wave are not signing the same form.
What the numbers will not say out loud
Nobody with a federal badge is going to print the sentence “social contagion peaked and cracked.” The data still says the surge was concentrated in adolescent girls, bisexual was the growth stock, questioning and “other” soaked up the overflow, and the newest freshman class just cut the bisexual share in half.
Boys never reached the same altitude. Men still sit at a fraction of the female rate in every national file that splits by sex. The gap is the story. If this were a hidden population finally free to speak, men and women would have moved together. They did not.
Twenge will not name a single cause. She does not have to. Schools spent a decade teaching kids that identity is a menu. Platforms spent a decade paying the menu in likes. Parents who said wait got called bigots. The 2025 ninth-grade girls answered anyway.
The next YRBS cycle lands in 2027. If the freshman drop holds when those girls are juniors, the contagion thesis gets another year of evidence. If it rebounds, the 2025 class was a blip. Right now the blip is six points among all ninth graders and thirteen points among freshman girls on the bisexual line.
