Another family trip has ended in almost unimaginable horror. Pennsylvania authorities say 27-year-old Metallica Rose Harrison fatally stabbed her husband, Charles, and their three-year-old son inside a Great Wolf Lodge room. According to the criminal complaint, Harrison then called 911, said her husband and child were already gone and asked dispatchers for help ending her own life. Police recovered two knives and took Harrison to a hospital with wounds to her wrist and neck. She is now charged with two counts of criminal homicide and being held without bail.
The resemblance to the Lindsay Clancy case is impossible to miss: another mother accused of killing her child before apparently attempting to take her own life. However, there is no evidence Harrison knew Clancy, followed her case or was inspired by her. Authorities have described this as an isolated domestic tragedy and have not announced a motive. Whatever explanation eventually emerges, a father and three-year-old boy are dead—and another alleged family annihilation has everyone asking how this keeps happening.
