A large wildfire continued burning near Oreokastro, north of Thessaloniki, as more than 160 firefighters, aircraft, and helicopters battled the blaze. The fast-moving fire forced evacuations, destroyed two factories, and burned through forested areas near industrial sites. Greek authorities also arrested a 76-year-old man on suspicion of accidentally starting the wildfire after sparks from his vehicle allegedly ignited the flames.
