H3 has not been formally cancelled and the crew could potentially continue under another name or format, but the version millions of viewers knew appears to be finished. The H3 Podcast blew up in a matter of hours. Ethan Klein announced an indefinite hiatus on Thursday, October 22, with no return date. Less than a day later his wife and longtime co-host Hila Klein posted the reason on Instagram.
Hila wrote that she is living a nightmare she cannot wake up from. She said her husband has been having an affair for more than six months and that she was fed lie after lie. When she first sensed something was wrong and raised her concerns, she was met with dismissive answers and no action. She trusted him because she loved him. She stopped questioning him and started questioning her own instincts and sanity.
The story he told kept changing. First it was “just a kiss.” Then it was “emotional cheating.” After she pressed, he finally admitted he had been in an affair for over six months. Hila said she still does not know the full extent. “The betrayal I feel is immeasurable,” she wrote. “The person I loved and trusted for 20 years evaporated overnight. He was my safe place, my partner in marriage, parenting, and business.” She said she is now in survival mode, navigating separation and co-parenting their three young sons, and focusing on taking care of herself and the children one day at a time.

The production crew moved fast. In a joint Instagram statement they said they were shocked, angry, and heartbroken. They stand completely with Hila and will support her. They unanimously agreed they would not continue working with Ethan involved or allow him to profit from whatever comes next. “We’re disgusted by Ethan’s actions and the hurt he has caused,” they wrote. “We all deserved better: Hila, us, and you.” They do not yet know what the show looks like without him.
Ethan has not answered the charges directly. On Friday he posted an Instagram Story asking people to respect his family’s privacy and not contact them looking for comments. “They have nothing to do with this and share in your outrage and disappointment,” he wrote.
Old clips of Ethan calling cheating despicable are circulating. In one he said he hates men who have kids, put their wives through childbirth, then cheat. He and Hila have three sons under eight. In another clip he called the behavior of a man who cheated with an employee a “piece of work.”
Online speculation has focused on an animator who worked with the show, but neither Ethan nor Hila has named anyone, and no confirmed evidence has been presented. The version of H3 that millions of viewers knew is paused. The marriage that built it is over. Hila’s final public note to others was blunt: trust your instincts, and if you are not being treated right, get up and leave.
