Epidemiologist Nicolas Hulscher highlighted the numbers this week. A 2016 University of Windsor study found that aqueous dandelion root extract eliminated more than 95 percent of human colon cancer cells in the lab within 48 hours. Oral dosing suppressed growth of human tumors in mice by more than 90 percent. Researchers recorded no clear toxicity after 75 days of daily use. Health Canada authorized Phase I human trials more than a decade ago. Published results from those trials never appeared. See the fast clip below. Article continues under it. I found out a few things you need to know. Again, Big Pharma has its hand in suppressing info that saves lives.
Dandelion root extract ELIMINATED over 95% of human cancer cells within 48 HOURS in the lab.
It also SUPPRESSED human tumor growth in mice by over 90%.
There was ZERO observed toxicity after taking dandelion root for 75 days straight.
Health Canada authorized human trials over a DECADE AGO… yet they strangely NEVER happened.

The paper is open access in Oncotarget. Pamela Ovadje, Siyaram Pandey, and colleagues tested a simple water extract of dried dandelion root (Taraxacum). They used two aggressive human colon cancer lines: HT-29 (p53 mutant) and HCT116 (p53 wild-type). Within 48 hours the extract triggered programmed cell death—apoptosis and related pathways—in more than 95 percent of the cancer cells. Normal colon epithelial cells (NCM460) stayed largely untouched at the same doses.
Effective concentrations sat in the low milligrams per milliliter range. EC50 values ran about 2.0 mg/mL in HCT116 and 3.5 mg/mL in HT-29. Those levels are higher than typical tea or capsule doses, but the selectivity stood out. Standard chemotherapy combinations such as FOLFOX also hit the normal cells. The extract did not.

2016 University of Windsor results: aqueous dandelion root extract vs. colon cancer models.
The Science from the report – – -Mechanisms involved multiple hits at once. The extract disrupted mitochondria, raised reactive oxygen species, activated caspase-8 (though cell death still occurred when caspase-8 was blocked), shifted Bcl-2 family proteins, lowered COX-2, and changed gene expression toward death pathways. Phytochemicals in the mix included triterpenes such as taraxasterol, alpha- and beta-amyrin, and lupeol. The whole extract outperformed the individual compounds tested.
In the mice, oral aqueous extract at 40 mg/kg per day cut growth of the human colon cancer xenografts by more than 90 percent over roughly 75 days. Tumors stayed smaller. More cells inside them showed apoptosis. Separate toxicity runs found no significant weight loss, organ damage, or other clear adverse effects.
The same research group had already published similar selective cell-killing results in melanoma, chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, and pancreatic cancer cell lines. Broader preclinical reviews list apoptosis, cell-cycle effects, and inhibition of pathways such as PI3K/Akt across several cancer types.
The human trial story started with anecdotes. You all know that Big Pharma makes their money by keeping people sick. Guess what happens then with the human trials… Around 2009 oncologist Caroline Hamm noticed some patients with blood cancers improving after drinking dandelion root tea. She and Pandey applied to Health Canada. Approval for Phase I trials in refractory hematologic malignancies came around 2012–2015. The design focused on dosing and safety in patients who had already exhausted other options. Recruitment and funding problems limited progress. Doctors were afraid as they knew their monthly checks were in danger if they supported any research that went against Big Pharma’s ‘SOC – Standard of care’. As my readers know, I consider much of SOC to be a Nazi-like doctrine that hurts far more people than it helps. And always to make Big Phara rich, See my MANY articles fighting against Big Pharma and their S.O.C. BS in links below this article. No peer-reviewed efficacy results from completed human trials have been published obviously. Anecdotal reports continue to circulate, including one recent reply on the Hulscher post about a stage-two colon cancer case, but anecdotes do not prove cause. Once again, the long arm of Big Pharma has its way. So read between the lines.
Wellness, Peter McCullough, MD, MPH ‘s company, has been using Dandelion Root for years, to help clean up people’s blood if they took the vax. It works very well with Nattokinase – and the specific product for this is HERE (NOTE – Wellness has been a Sponsor of Whatfinger News for many years, and together we’ve helped people all over America cure things that Big Pharma says cannot be cured. Over and over too – and Whatfinger makes a commission when people buy their products)
Back to the science – Petri-dish and mouse-xenograft data often fail to translate into people. The concentrations that killed cells in the lab exceed what most people absorb from ordinary oral use. Dandelion root has no regulatory approval as a cancer treatment (Just like Ivermectin and we know how much Big Pharma does not want you curing yourself of anything using it). Claims that it eliminates cancer or was blocked by industry step past the published evidence. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health states there is no compelling scientific evidence that dandelion treats any health condition. These same folks also tell pregnant women to get the Covid vax even now in October of 2026, knowing full well that over 30% of women who take it lose their babies. But that’s Big Pharma for you. Here is Dr Wolf, a liberal, on it…. Fast clip
Dr. Naomi Wolf: “PFIZER DELIBERATELY TRIED TO KILL US ALL.”

Dandelion Root – – Traditional use is older and broader. European, Chinese, and Native American traditions treated the plant as a bitter tonic, mild diuretic, and digestive or liver support. The root is more often linked to bile flow; the leaves to fluid balance. Bitter sesquiterpene lactones can stimulate bile. German Commission E and the European Medicines Agency monographs support traditional use for mild digestive complaints, temporary loss of appetite, and as a mild diuretic. Animal studies show some protection against chemical or alcohol liver injury through antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions. Small human trials with multi-herb formulas that include dandelion have reported better fatty-liver markers. Robust single-herb clinical data remain limited.
Other signals stay early. Polyphenols (chlorogenic acid, chicoric acid, luteolin and others), flavonoids, and triterpenes supply antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. Lab and animal work shows COX-2 inhibition and lower pro-inflammatory cytokines. Inulin in the root acts as a prebiotic. Preliminary data exist on blood-sugar modulation and antimicrobial effects. Most of that work is preclinical.
Dandelion is generally recognized as safe in food amounts. Leaves are edible and nutritious. Root teas, capsules, and extracts are widely sold. Possible side effects include mild stomach upset, heartburn, diarrhea, or allergic reactions. People allergic to ragweed or other daisy-family plants should watch for cross-reactivity. Avoid or use caution with bile-duct obstruction, gallstones, or certain gallbladder and liver conditions because the root can increase bile flow. Theoretical interactions exist with diuretics, lithium, diabetes drugs, blood thinners, and some medications metabolized by CYP enzymes. Talk to a clinician before use, especially if you take prescriptions or are pregnant or nursing.
The lab and mouse data on selective anti-cancer activity, particularly in colorectal models, are real and worth further study. That is why Health Canada authorized the trials. Those results do not establish dandelion root as an effective cancer therapy in humans. Other benefits rest mainly on traditional use and preclinical work, with modest human support for mild digestive or diuretic effects. For any serious condition, especially cancer, rely on established medical care. This is not medical advice. As you all know, I am not a doctor, and definitely not a friend of Big Pharma. I call myself a citizen scientist, and hope everyone reading this does their own research and looks into everything, without blindly accepting what any doctor or Big Pharma tells you.
