Webcam footage from Friends of Big Bear Valley captured the moment young bald eagle Luna left the nest for the first time on June 29, gliding to a nearby tree where father Shadow was waiting. The eagle family has drawn a massive online following since parents Jackie and Shadow hatched their chicks last year.
