This ‘Governor’ even released 96 people arrested for murder, yet because they are illegals she set them free to kill more Americans, and they do!
New York has ignored 14,916 ICE detainers since President Trump took office in January 2025 through mid-September 2026, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Those ignored requests covered people facing or convicted of 47,750 criminal charges. All the state and city had to do was hold them briefly and turn them over to federal agents. Democrats running New York chose not to.
Here is the breakdown of those 47,750 charges and convictions tied to the unhonored detainers:
- Assaults: 8,673
- Dangerous drugs: 3,842
- Weapons offenses: 1,987
- Robberies: 1,586
- Burglaries: 1,438
- DUIs: 1,407
- Sexual assaults: 448
- Kidnappings: 114
- Homicides: 96
That is nearly a hundred homicides and hundreds of sexual assaults linked to people New York released rather than transferred to ICE.
Earlier numbers from December 2025 already showed the pattern. New York had released 6,947 criminal illegal aliens by ignoring detainers. Their crimes included 29 homicides, 2,509 assaults, and 207 sexual predatory offenses. Another 7,113 were still in custody at that time with active detainers, facing 148 homicide charges among other serious crimes. The total has only grown since then.
New York and ALL Democrats should be arrested as enemies of the people of the United States.
One recent case shows how this works in practice. Oscar Bengal (also spelled Belgal), a Dominican national with prior convictions for grand larceny and arrests for robbery, assault, drug sales, and weapons possession, was released by New York authorities under sanctuary rules. He has ties to the Trinitarios gang, the same group linked to the shooting of a Border Patrol officer. On October 8, 2026, ICE tried to arrest him in the Bronx. He refused orders, rammed government vehicles, and drove toward officers. Agents fired. A five-year-old was in the car. DHS says officers did not know the child was there and that Bengal weaponized the vehicle. New York’s policies forced the street arrest instead of a safe handoff from jail.
Other cases follow the same script. New York refused an ICE detainer for Roman Ceron Amatitla, charged with murder and arson in Queens after a fire that killed people including a three-year-old. Gerardo Miguel-Mora, previously deported, was released despite charges including strangulation, rape, sexual assault, burglary, and drug possession. DHS has documented cases of sexual predators, gang members, and people charged with raping a 16-year-old girl that New York held and then released instead of transferring to ICE.
Governor Kathy Hochul and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani have pushed laws and orders that limit or ban local cooperation with ICE on civil immigration matters. Hochul’s legislation restricting cooperation took effect in August 2026. Mamdani signed an executive order shielding people from ICE transfers. Both have criticized federal enforcement while their jurisdictions continue releasing people with serious criminal records. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin has said sanctuary politicians create conditions where criminal activity thrives and public safety suffers. New York officials have responded with silence on the vast majority of the detainer requests.
Handing someone already in custody over to ICE requires almost no extra effort from local police. The person is already locked up after an arrest. The detainer asks for notice or a short hold so federal officers can take custody. New York’s rules treat that simple step as optional or forbidden in most cases. The result is repeated releases of people charged with or convicted of murder, rape, assault, robbery, and weapons crimes.
Democrats in Albany and New York City have treated this as policy, not an accident. They argue local police should not assist federal immigration enforcement. The data shows the direct consequence: thousands of people with extensive criminal charges put back on the street instead of removed. Americans in New York and in other states have paid the price when some of those people reoffend. The choice was available at the moment of arrest. New York’s leaders chose the release. It is time we declare the governor of NY, CA, IL, WA, and all other ‘sanctuary states’ as enemies of the people of the United States. They are actively releasing killers, rapists and maniacs to harm and murder the American people. Will we ever see justice, or will this all have to wait until we have a real revolution?
