President Volodymyr Zelensky told the Financial Times this week that Ukraine is done waiting. “The block is out. We’re done,” he said. Kyiv had paused drone strikes on Russian oil refineries for three days after President Trump declared an energy ceasefire. Russia kept hitting Ukrainian power plants. Zelensky ordered the attacks back on. A fire was reported at a Rosneft refinery in the Ryazan region shortly afterward. Understand that 95% of his war is financed by the United States even now.
We have wasted billions on this war, and the result is just a growing mass of dead Slavs (Ukrainians and Russians) which now seems to the be the whole plan. Does it not? In the EU the Woke are infesting every nation with Muslim immigrants that they then force their native people to pay for. They detest White people, say it now, as it is a fact. Just like Democrats in the United States. Why are we supporting them in this war? The Ukraine is a Deep State controlled dictatorship, complete even with Bio-weapon labs working hard on the next Covid. Why are we allowing this?
Trump had warned him repeatedly. The White House told Zelensky not to hit the refineries. Diesel prices in the United States had climbed past $6 a gallon. The week of October 12 the national average stood at $6.18. It hit a record $6.53 in September. Trump said the strikes were making the shortage worse and told Zelensky to stop. Last week he added that it was time for Ukraine to get a new leader who could actually make a deal. Elon Musk agreed in public.
Vladimir Putin:
‘We would have never considered to even lift a finger if it hadn’t been for the Maidan coup. We had agreed to Russia’s 1991 borders…but we never agreed to NATO’s expansion and we never agreed that Ukraine would be in NATO.’ https://t.co/Kry9RwHYru

Zelensky called the American position a betrayal. He complained about reduced intelligence sharing and slower Starlink service while Russian missiles and drones kept landing on Ukrainian infrastructure. Ukrainian officials said more than 600,000 people lost power after recent Russian strikes. Kyiv wants more Patriot interceptors before it will stop its own energy attacks again.
Russia has fought this war as a slow grind for years. It launched the full invasion in 2022 with columns that crossed from Belarus toward Kyiv, then pulled back and settled into attrition. Ukrainian General Staff figures now claim roughly 1.56 million Russian casualties since February 2022. Western estimates are lower but still enormous—CSIS put Russian battlefield casualties near 1.4 million by mid-2026. Ukraine has also lost hundreds of thousands of its own young men. Both sides are burning through the generation that will have to rebuild whatever is left.

Russia has not thrown everything it has into the fight. It has not ordered a full national mobilization. It has not sent the Belarusian army across the border in strength. Roughly 2,000–2,200 Russian troops remain in Belarus. The country supplies logistics, training grounds, and drone control stations that help guide strikes into northern Ukraine. This week the Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organization is running drills there with more than 1,500 troops and about 80 drones. Infrastructure and rail links are being prepared for larger movements if Moscow decides it wants them.

The choice is straightforward. Russia can finish what it started. It has the men, the factories, and the staging areas in Russia proper and in Belarus. A concentrated push would cost more lives in the short run but could end the war. Or the grinding continues for years. Ukrainian drones keep hitting Russian refineries. Russian missiles keep hitting Ukrainian cities and power plants. Both countries keep burying their sons. American drivers keep paying record diesel prices while Washington tries to manage the spillover.
Trump tried to cut the energy part of the war short so American families would not keep funding higher fuel costs through another winter. Zelensky rejected the pause and went back to the strikes. Russia has shown restraint by staying in the attritional fight instead of opening a second front from the north or ordering general mobilization. That restraint is not permanent.
Ingrate corrupt Zelensky says he has no interest in a negotiated peace agreement:
“We’re not selling our country. Look, guys, it’s not about business for us. It’s our lives. It’s our country, our home, our children.”

America has no permanent interest in keeping this war alive forever. The longer it runs, the more young men on both sides are gone for good, and the higher the bill sits at the pump for the people who already paid for the last round of weapons and intelligence. The door is still open for a deal. It is also open for Russia to decide the pause is over and move the forces it has kept ready. It’s time to pull all support from Ukraine and force a peace before Russia decides to take all of Ukraine rather than let this war be their new Afghanistan.

Readers say: Russian President Vladimir Putin was happy to leave Ukraine in control of 100 percent of its internationally recognized territory when he was president from 1999-2014 and Ukraine maintained friendly relations with Russia. It was only after the CIA-funded Maidan coup that overthrew Ukraine’s democratically elected president and replaced him with a hand picked US puppet Prime Minister that Russia occupied Crimea and started supporting Russian separatists in the Donbass region. Even then, Putin supported implementation of the Minsk 2 agreement right up until February 21, 2022 which would have returned full control of the Donbass to Ukraine but Zelensky refused to honor the peace agreement. After the war began, Putin was excited to sign the Istanbul Agreement under which all Russian troops were to have been withdrawn to their prewar borders but again Zelensky refused to agree to it. So, when President Trump says Zelensky is largely to blame for the destruction of his once great country and the deaths of over a million Ukrainian soldiers he is absolutely correct. – David Oyne
Ukraine means nothing to us. The most corrupt country in Europe led by a corrupt comic/actor puppet. It’s hilarious watching people take this guy seriously. If the EU wants to die on this hill, we’ll gladly sell them the weapons, but Zelenskyy and Ukraine can go *fly a kite* themselves if they think we’re going fight World War III over their fate. And Americans who think they’re ready to fight World War III with a nuclear armed country over the fate of Zelenskyy and Ukraine, are absolutely certifiable morons! – IC
