The World Cup 2026 kicked off its third opening ceremony in Los Angeles June 12 with Tom Cruise, David Beckham, Katy Perry, and more bringing the star power to the United States’ first game against Paraguay. Rapper Future and singer Tyla performed their World Cup album track, "Game Time," before BLACKPINK’S Lisa, Latin superstar Anitta and Nigerian musician Rema got the crowd on their feet with their World Cup song, "Goals." Katy Perry shimmered on center pitch with a special guest – a young boy named Tius Luka, who was featured on Katy’s song "Wonder" back in 2021. The two reunited and brought the house down as an adorable duo. Dan + Shay gave a patriotic performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner" while Tom Cruise and David Beckham looked on from the crowd. Other celebs who got in on the World Cup action in L.A. were Tobey McGuire, Paris Hilton, Rob Lowe and Jafaar Jackson.
