Fleet of Giant UFOs Spotted Racing Across the Moon: Ukrainian Scientists Claim Secret Base and a 20-Minute Trip to Earth
Tim Pool just put it on the radar for a lot of people, and the story is spreading fast for good reason. Ukrainian astronomers say they captured more than 20 unidentified objects near and across the lunar surface in 2025 high-speed telescope footage. Their conclusion is not subtle: the Moon may be serving as a base for these craft, and the objects could reach Earth in about 20 minutes.
The researchers—Boris Zhilyaev, Vladimir Petukhov, and Sergey Pokhvala from Ukraine’s Main Astronomical Observatory—analyzed video recorded with a high-speed camera on a telescope in Vinarivka. The main cluster of more than 20 objects showed up in sessions on September 7, 2025. Additional ring-shaped objects appeared in footage from August 16.
They split the anomalies into two groups. “Atmospheric” objects stayed roughly stationary relative to the Moon, locked in sync with its motion, and flashed in rapid pulses lasting 0.1 to 0.5 seconds in repeating patterns. “Continental” objects moved across the lunar surface. Some of the disc-shaped continental objects were estimated at 15 to 25 miles across (roughly 25–40 km in the team’s figures). Ring-shaped or toroidal objects measured around 22 miles and completed a full rotation roughly every three minutes while traveling at speeds reported as high as 6.8 miles per second. One object covered nearly 14 miles at about 4.1 miles per second.
🇺🇦 Ukrainian scientists claim to have just spotted a fleet of more than 20 giant UFOs joyriding across the moon…
Yes… UFOs!
We’re talking disc-shaped aircraft up to 25 miles wide (one nearly the size of Manhattan) zooming at miles per second, with some just “anchored” near… pic.twitter.com/PGuIdB6bVV

The team argues the brightness variations, synchronized flashing between objects separated by significant distances, and overall motion patterns point to structured, intelligent behavior rather than random natural phenomena. In their non-peer-reviewed work (including the preprint often titled along the lines of “UFO Dynamics on the Moon”), they state: “UFOs are observed on Earth and in near-Earth space. We believe that the Moon serves as a base for UFOs. UFOs can reach Earth in 20 minutes… UFOs demonstrate intelligent behavior and can be regarded as a technologically advanced civilization.”
These are extraordinary claims built on faint signals—some of the features were only a couple of pixels before enhancement and false-color processing. Size and speed estimates depend heavily on the assumption that the objects sit at lunar distance. If they are much closer (atmospheric or near-Earth), the scale collapses dramatically. The same research group’s earlier UAP papers faced formal criticism from Ukraine’s National Academy of Sciences over methodological and distance-calculation problems, and independent confirmation or public release of the raw high-speed video has not appeared.
Still, the timing and the numbers are hard to ignore in the current climate. Luis Elizondo has separately claimed the U.S. government holds unreleased photographs of large monolithic structures on the lunar surface. Apollo-era astronauts reported unexplained lights and objects. Official UAP programs continue to document anomalous craft in Earth’s atmosphere and near space. Whether this particular Ukrainian dataset holds up under scrutiny or eventually gets debunked as artifacts and distance errors, it lands squarely in a pattern that refuses to go away.
Whatfinger readers already know the pattern: data that challenges the tidy narrative tends to get memory-holed, labeled “not peer-reviewed,” or dismissed before the public ever sees the primary material. The Moon is a quarter-million miles away and relatively easy to monitor. If even a fraction of these claims survive independent examination, the implications for national security, physics, and human history are obvious.
The objects are either something mundane that clever processing turned into monsters, or they are exactly what the Ukrainian team says they are. Right now the footage and the analysis sit in the gray zone where most of the interesting UAP material lives. Keep watching. The next set of high-resolution lunar images or an independent re-analysis of that 2025 video could settle it—or open the door wider.
