This had been moved away from and instead students were being told to just use a different word if they didn’t know how to pronounce the word they were trying to read I can’t believe this is how low we’ve sunk as a country…… Teacher in Michigan explains how they have been teaching. “So if the sentence was, “We are meeting after school,” and a student got to the word ‘meeting’ and they didn’t know how to read the word ‘meeting,’ I might have said, “Use the words that you do know.” Whoever has done this to our education system needs to be locked up. This is clearly intentionally destroying our kids education
