French officials put partial night curfews in place in parts of Paris and other cities this week after a weekend of looting, arson, and street fighting. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu said the orders helped keep Monday night quiet and that local authorities can add more where they decide the situation requires it.
A curfew is a rule that tells people to stay off certain streets after a set hour. In Paris the order covered areas around Place de la République and the Les Halles shopping zone from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Similar limits went up in places including Nice, Lille, Bordeaux, and Lyon. Some applied mainly to younger people or banned gatherings after 8 p.m.

The weekend damage was extensive. Rioters burned the historic town hall in Limoges. About 1,500 shops were damaged or looted. Cars were torched. Nearly 2,000 people were arrested and hundreds of police officers were injured. Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez said on the radio that police had lost control in some cities. He offered his resignation. President Emmanuel Macron turned it down.
The protests began with student anger over school conditions and wider complaints about prices and public services. That is the surface account. A Fox News Digital investigation by Asra Nomani mapped 54 organizations and movements tied to the October protests and the network around them. Only about one in three are student or youth groups. The rest include communist parties, revolutionary socialist organizations, labor unions, and other adult-led groups. Some have already signaled plans for further action later in the month.

Nighttime rules in a handful of neighborhoods do not break up that network. They do not stop people who arrive with coordination, tools, and a stated goal of larger disorder. France has answered street chaos with soft measures for years. The pattern repeats: burned public buildings, emptied stores, and more voters looking for a harder line ahead of next year’s presidential election.
Marine Le Pen’s National Rally leads most first-round polling. France’s public debt is already larger than the size of its economy. The combination of heavy social spending, weak order, and organized far-left networks keeps producing the same results.
The curfews may keep one night quieter. They leave the organizers free to set the next date. The forces behind it all are the same low lifes in charge of America’s Black Lives Matter, and other riots. Why we let them weave their destruction is either a mystery, or a conspiracy. This destruction was planned for America. Never forget that if Biden and his ilk (Obama who rules behind the scenes with his Marxists around him) were importing even more barbarians to destroy the nation than they do annually in the EU. America is one election way from a EU style dictatorship being tried here in the U.S.
