I have never seen more comments asking me basic common sense questions — They don’t have to learn math. They could just take a picture of the math problem and have it solved. They don’t have to learn how to write essays. They could just have AI write the essay for them. They don’t have to learn how to read or write, let alone write cursive. I am so afraid” “We might literally see the end of humanity” She’s right American kids are failing miserably in schools – 40% of 4th graders now score below the most basic reading level – 33% of 8th graders score below basic in reading. This is the worst in history – Only 28% of 8th graders are proficient in math

- This is why home-schooled students are the future business owners of America. Public schools are not teaching students anything constructive. You cannot succeed in life if you can’t read or if you have no critical thinking or problem solving skills. CFR
- Don’t give your kids smartphones & let them use the Internet. Phones are banned at all schools in Florida. Your not allowed to use AI to do your work either, the teacher can drop it into an AI checker to see if a human or AI wrote it. My child doesn’t get a calculator either. She gets a blank piece of paper to work the problems out for math. My kids does all her work at school during the free study period. If you insist on giving your child a phone to keep in contact get a flip phone, not a smart phone. – Nerdy C
- It’s the parents and the schools. The parents model behavior at home. If they don’t emphasize education at home and the schools abdicate their responsibility as well, you end up with kids who are illiterate and incapable of critical thought. – Tanto M
- The states are responsible for educating children and they need to get their act together!!! Parents need to home school or find a good private school where the goal is excellence in learning!!! If kids aren’t learning the basics, that will cripple them for life!!! – Kathy W
