The coffin of slain Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was carried through the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad on July 10, ahead of his burial. Mourners participated in the final stage of the funeral procession, which began on July 4 and included major ceremonies in Tehran, Qom, Baghdad, Najaf and Karbala. Khamenei was killed in a joint US-Israeli strike on Iran on 28 February.
