A high school football game in Ohio turned chaotic when “multiple physical altercations” broke out on the field between Massillon Washington High School and the St. Louis Cardinal Ritter Lions, according to police. As attempts were made to break up the fights, two officers used pepper spray on the students from Cardinal Ritter. “The Ritter players again charged at Massillon players who were now near the band. This was a difficult situation for the officers who attempted to restore order,” the Massillon Police Department wrote in a statement, calling the use of pepper spray "effective."
