Kenya’s healthcare system is in crisis. Since the start of the year, hospitals and clinics—both public and private—have faced severe shortages of essential supplies, from HIV medication to critical medical equipment. The main issue is a lack of funding. Right now, 90% of Kenyan hospitals are struggling to stay open, even as the country continues to attract patients from across East Africa.
