‘The Five’ comments on Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., denying longstanding allegations about her marriage history as her immigration status faces renewed federal scrutiny.
Watters to Omar: The Follow-Ups Keep Coming — Fake Name, Age Games, and the Money That Disappeared
Jesse Watters has been pressing the questions that hang over Rep. Ilhan Omar. Federal agents raided her Washington home on October 12. They walked out with her phone, computers, notebooks, passport, and a DNA sample. The probe centers on whether she or her late father lied on old immigration papers. Border czar Tom Homan says investigators have a strong case. Denaturalization and deportation are on the table if the evidence holds.
Omar says she became a citizen at 17 in 2000 through her father’s naturalization. Kids under 18 can get citizenship that way. If she was already 18, she needed her own application. Old public records listed her birth year as 1981. After she reached Congress, her staff asked Minnesota officials to change it to 1982. She claims the earlier year was wrong. Investigators want to know which date is real. Her father, Nur Omar Mohamed, was a colonel in Somalia’s military under the dictatorship. That background raises separate questions about whether he qualified as a refugee in the first place.
🚨 BREAKING: Ilhan Omar is a FAKE NAME for the Minnesota Representative, whose real name is Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a law enforcement source tells Fox
A name shared with her ex-husband and brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.
She’s running for election this year under a FAKE NAME. That’s DISQUALIFYING.
Her entire life in the US is FRAUDULENT. Every single form she’s EVER signed is now called into question.
It’s looking REALLY bad for Ilhan!

The name issue landed this week. A Justice Department filing referred to her as Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, also known as Ilhan Abdullahi Omar. Sources familiar with the probe say Omar is not her real name. That surname matches her ex-husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, the man she married in 2009. Critics have long said he was her brother and the marriage was meant to help him get papers. She has denied it for years. When asked recently if she married her brother, she answered, “Not to my knowledge.” Agents took DNA. Family members, including a sister, have been subpoenaed. If the name she has used is an alias and the marriage was a fraud, every form she ever signed could come under review.
Her money story has problems of its own. In one disclosure her husband’s businesses — a California winery and a venture firm — jumped from tens of thousands of dollars to as much as $30 million. She later amended the forms and said the big numbers were an accounting error. The couple’s reported assets dropped to under $100,000. The winery shut down. House Oversight Chairman James Comer has pointed to the discrepancy and claims the winery sold empty barrels to investors. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro says her office is looking at the disclosures. An ethics body recommended dropping the matter. Pirro said that does not matter. No charges have been filed on the money side yet.
🚨 MAJOR BREAKING: President Trump hereby moves to DISQUALIFY ILHAN OMAR from office and calls for her IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION after it was confirmed that’s her fake name — the real name is Ilhan Nur Said Elmi
“INFORM SPEAKER JOHNSON that the Democrat Party has conceded her seat. Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, her real name is openly admitted to fraud, she will not legally be allowed to be a member of that body any longer.”
“She didn’t know whether or not she married her brother. NOT LOOKING GOOD.”
“She used Ilhan Omar to get elected to Congress. But it’s an entirely different name.”
“She used a fake name to be sworn in, I assume she must immediately have to resign from Congress.”
Crowd members are chanting to THROW HER OUT 👋🏻

Omar calls the whole thing a political hit aimed at one of President Trump’s sharpest critics weeks before the midterms. Her lawyers say the raid was meant to intimidate. She has not been charged with a crime. If prosecutors prove fraud on the citizenship papers, they can move to strip her citizenship. That process takes time in court. A person who is no longer a citizen cannot stay in Congress. Homan and Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin have said the government will follow the evidence. Omar’s side says the claims are old, unproven, and driven by politics.
The midterms are days away. Omar is expected to win her seat easily. The investigation does not pause for the calendar. Watters and others keep asking the same basic questions: Was the age real? Is the name real? Was the marriage real? Did the money exist? The answers will decide whether she stays in the House or faces the door.
