Megyn Kelly on the serious challenges Russell Brand faces when it comes to allegations from 20+ years ago.
Deep State Target Russell Brand Faces Trial Over Sex Allegations From 1999 to 2009. How The left ALWAYS does it…
Russell Brand is in a London courtroom right now answering for claims from more than 20 years ago. The 51-year-old comedian and former TV star faces seven charges tied to six women. Those charges include three counts of rape, three of sexual assault, and one of indecent assault. The alleged incidents run from 1999 to 2009.
Prosecutors opened the case on October 14 by calling Brand a ruthless sexual predator. They said he had a huge sexual appetite and treated women as a means to an end. Lead prosecutor Riel Karmy-Jones told jurors the six women did not know each other and came forward on their own. She described Brand as charming when he wanted something, then demanding when he did not get it. The trial is expected to last several weeks.
The earliest claim dates to September 1999. Brand was performing at a fringe event during the Labour Party conference in Bournemouth. A woman in the audience invited him back to her hotel room to talk. She later said she thought he was gay. Prosecutors say he raped her there. Other claims involve a 2001 attempt to drag a woman into a toilet at MTV Europe, an alleged oral rape in a bar toilet in 2004, an indecent assault around 2004–2005 at a media company, a 2009 incident at Brand’s home after consensual sex turned non-consensual, and a 2009 Channel 4 workplace claim involving a demanded massage.

Woman ‘bled for days’ after alleged rape and claims Brand later texted ‘I wanna push you further’ – what the jury heard today
Warning: This post contains graphic details of alleged sexual assault and rape
By Bethany Minelle, arts and entertainment reporter at Southwark Crown CourtToday we heard the last of the allegations against Russell Brand by the fifth complainant in case, who claims he anally raped her in 2009 at his house in Hampstead after they had consensual sex. Brand denies all the charges.
Here’s a recap of what happened:
• The court first heard the final part of the woman’s main police interview, in which she describes the details of the alleged anal rape to an officer;• In the interview, she says she “didn’t enjoy” the initial consensual vaginal sex in Brand’s bed as his earlier request for her to shower had made her feel “uncomfortable”;
• She then describes a “moment of stalling” when she says Brand took his penis out of her vagina, removed the condom and inserted himself into her anus;
• The alleged victim says she asked Brand to stop repeatedly, to which he replied: “I want you to feel my cum”;
• She says after the event, Brand looked “horrified” due to the “mess” left on the bed, which she says he told her to “clean up”;
• She described bleeding “for a few days after” and putting toilet paper into her underwear when she left to soak up the blood;
• Asked who she told about the alleged rape, she listed friends, family members and colleagues who she says she spoke to about the alleged attack.
The court was then shown a second shorter police interview, in which the woman describes running into Brand at the Edinburgh Festival the summer after the alleged rape.
• In the interview, she says she received a text from Brand and replied, “Why are you even texting me?”;
• She says Brand replied: “Because you’re dirty, and I wanna push you further,” to which she texted back: “I think you pushed me far enough – you treated me like an animal”;
• She says Brand’s response was “immediate”, replying: “I’m sorry”;
• In the interview, she says she felt “completely degraded” after receiving Brand’s text and like she was “a piece of meat”.
After some brief questions from the prosecution, Brand’s defence lawyer began his cross-examination:
• Ian Winter KC suggested the woman had gone to Brand’s home knowing they would have “transactional” sex and she agreed, saying: “I didn’t think I was going to be his girlfriend”;
• The lawyer suggested she discussed anal sex with Brand before they had consensual sex. She denied she had agreed to it;
• In tense exchanges, the defence suggested Brand acted normally after the alleged rape because the act was consensual, to which the woman replied: “I did not consent; we are not here to discuss my morality”.
The jury has now heard from all six of Brand’s alleged victims.

Brand has pleaded not guilty to every charge. He has long said he never engaged in non-consensual activity. After the first charges appeared in 2025 he posted a video stating he was a fool, a drug addict, and a sex addict in his younger years, but “what I never was, was a rapist.” He has told police the same thing and suggested some accounts may have been reinvented after media reports. His defense will argue the encounters were consensual.
Megyn Kelly sat down with Brand in April 2026 while he awaited this trial. On her show he addressed his past conduct. He admitted sleeping with a 16-year-old when he was 30. That was legal under UK law, where the age of consent is 16. He called the power gap between a famous man and young women exploitative and said his past sexual behavior was selfish. He drew a line between immoral conduct and criminal acts. Kelly has noted the detailed nature of the original reports and the difficulty of sorting old claims years later.

Cases this old create real problems for both sides. Memories fade. Witnesses disappear. Physical evidence is scarce. Brand’s team can argue the long delay and the media attention that followed the 2023 Channel 4 and Sunday Times reports shaped later accounts. Prosecutors point to the fact that the women came forward independently across a decade of Brand’s rising career. Brand has described himself as a changed man who found faith, married, and left the party lifestyle behind. The jury will have to decide whether that past behavior crossed into the crimes charged.
The trial continues at Southwark Crown Court. Brand remains free on bail while the evidence is heard. Whatfinger News is tracking the case as it develops.
Tucker Carlson: Russell Brand was once a famous leftwing actor, celebrated by the British establishment. Then he criticized the government for using Covid to turn the UK into a totalitarian state. The accolades abruptly stopped. A government TV station accused Brand of committing sex crimes against anonymous women they refused to name. Government officials called for his opinions to be scrubbed from the internet. Last month, British prosecutors charged Brand with rape and sexual assault.
None of the charges are backed by hard evidence. All of them supposedly took place more than 20 years ago, one of them in the 1990s. The entire case is transparently political and absurd, a near-identical replay of the fake rape charges authorities brought against Julian Assange 15 years ago. Russell Brand, whose youngest child is barely a year old, now faces life in prison. He has no shot at a fair trial, because Britain is no longer a free country. Over the last few years, millions of foreigners have applied for asylum in the United States. Russell Brand actually deserves it. Say a prayer that the Trump administration comes to his rescue.
