Egypt’s national team manager was involved in a heated altercation with a Dallas police officer while at their hotel on Thursday, July 2, the night before the team’s knockout match against Australia, according to local news reports.
Footage filmed by Trenton Ryan shows a Dallas police officer approaching a man wearing a black “Egypt” staff shirt while a player was taking a photo with a young fan.
The man was identified in reports as Ibrahim Hassan, team manager and brother of Egyptian coach Hossam Hassan.
The officer got in between Hassan and the player, pushing the team manager back as other Egypt staff members started getting involved in the altercation.
