On Wednesday, April 8th, Iranian state TV announced the ceasefire with the US and Israel. In their report the TV station said the the United States has "suffered an undeniable, historic, and crushing defeat." Iranians took to the streets to celebrate the two-week ceasefire announcement in the conflict with US and Israel. Iran agreed on Tuesday to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
