On April 3rd, 2026, an Iranian news presenter announced a ‘precious prize’ to any citizens who capture and hand over the US pilot that was shot down in Southern Iran. The newsreader said the fighter jet that was shot down was an F-35, however US officials confirmed it was an F-15E. Citizens of Iran have been searching the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmadi province for the pilot.
