Gwinnett County, Georgia, police rescued a non-verbal, autistic 8-year-old who had run from home and was drawn to a nearby body of water. Bodycam footage shows officers coordinating with the child’s family before quickly searching the area. Master Police Officer J. Serrano spotted the child clinging to a tree branch in Freeman Lake, jumped in, and safely rescued him. The child was reunited with family, checked by emergency services, and taken to a hospital for hypothermia concerns, but suffered no serious injuries.
