The two police officers who died in this morning’s crash near Middlesbrough have been named by police as PC Matthew Blades and PC Tom Clough.
"This is an incredibly sad day for Cleveland," says Cleveland Police’s Chief Constable Victoria Fuller.
"The loss has been felt across our communities, by our police family and by our partner agencies," she adds.
