A sightseeing plane carrying foreign tourists crashed near Peru’s Nazca Lines on August 1, killing all 13 people on board, authorities said. The aircraft, operated by Aerodiana, departed from Pisco and went down near the Nazca archaeological reserve during a scenic flight over the ancient geoglyphs. The victims included tourists from Italy, Spain and Germany, while officials launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
