California State Sen. Scott Wiener, a prominent Jewish gay and politician running to fill Nancy Pelosi’s seat in November, has a progressive stance on Gaza. He does not support sending taxpayer funds to Israel’s military and has stated that he believes the actions there constitute genocide. Wiener, who has also championed pro-trans legislation, was chased out of San Francisco’s annual Trans March by protesters accusing him of endorsing genocide in Gaza.
