They BLAMED Trump For Learjet Crash! NTSB Reveals Horrifying Truth
The internet somehow turned a horrific plane crash into another Trump conspiracy. Viral accounts claimed the Learjet was heading toward Mar-a-Lago, may have been shot down by presidential air defenses or could have been part of an assassination attempt. There’s currently no evidence supporting any of that. The Bahamas-bound aircraft was already reporting icing, turbulence and precipitation before entering an extreme descent.
The actual new findings are brutal enough. The NTSB says investigators have evidence that some portion of the aircraft broke away before impact and that components may be found outside the main crater. Officials haven’t identified which parts separated or why. A viral close-up image appearing to show a missing wing was AI-enhanced and shouldn’t be treated as authentic evidence.
Both pilots have now been identified and pictured. Captain Jeff Gregory, 55, had roughly two decades of aviation experience. First officer Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, 20, was properly rated for the Learjet but wasn’t pilot in command. She reportedly texted her boyfriend about turbulence and ice shortly before impact, while radio audio appears to capture Gregory praying and Filgueiras warning that they were out of time. Seven passengers—including two small children—also died.
