An IDF soldier was criticaly injured at a central West Bank checkpoint on Sept. 23, after a 29-year-old Palestinian allegedly rammed his car towards a police car, according to the Times of Israel.
CNN has identified the injured IDF solider as Neria Leiter, the son of Yechiel Leiter, who currently serves as the Israeli Ambassador to the US.
The suspect was shot dead at the scene. CNN reported that the injured IDF soldier was rushed to a Jerusalem hospital.
