Italian farm owner Antonello Lovato was sentenced to 16 years in prison, after an undocumented worker, Satnam Singh, died at his hands. Singh’s death two years ago caused outrage in Italy and beyond, pointing to the extreme exploitation of irregular labor brought to Italy though a system known as caporalato.
