Officers shot and killed an armed suspect near a YMCA parking lot on Saturday, July 11th, in Austin, Texas. 29-year-old Emmanuel Diaz threatened runners in a park according to a distress call. The argument between Diaz and the runners escalated when they asked Diaz to slow down on his electric scooter, which Diaz responded by shouting and drawing his gun. Bodycam footage from Officer Collins shows Diaz running away from officers, before falling over. Police said that, while on the ground, Diaz pointed the gun at Collins, both officers then fired.
