Paraguay’s ousted president, Santiago Peña, has been charged over the collapse of Ueno Bank. Initially placed under house arrest, he has since been transferred to a military facility for his own safety. Nearly three million customers were locked out of their accounts after regulators seized control of the online bank. Repayments are now under way, but protests continue as customers demand access to their money. Peña denies any wrongdoing. Jack Pownall reports.
