They’re running, many of them anyway, as Democratic Socialists. It’s a totally different political organization. And in fact, they want to take out the Democratic Party. I mean, that’s their stated goal. They not only want to take out the Democratic Party, they want to take out the entire constitutional system that the Democratic Party is allowed to participate in governance.” MAHER:

- The DSA….They cannot, in good faith, take an oath of office, elected or appointed, in the United States. By their own attestation, publications, and actions, their platform rejects the constitutional minimum the oath requires them to support and defend – Mike H
- If they’re “really worried”why don’t their candidates counter the DSA using the DSA’s campaign methods (which used to be the DNCs go-to)— sending teams to go door-to-door campaigning; reaching out and having rallies & meet & greats for marginalized groups (that the Dems now assume will vote D & ignore); appearing on popular podcasts; putting out info on SM; and pitching the pissed off 20 something’s & (now) 30 something’s, with an actual platform that will appeal to them? Instead they seem more than happy to keep doing what they’ve been doing, while whining, and expecting things to miraculously get better. They cannot only appear at big ticket donor events, appear on CNN & maaaybe Fox, and put out ads on local TV with endorsements from other fossils, & think this will change anything while DSA candidates are whispering sweet nothings in the ears of voters who feel ignored, marginalized, unheard & are pissed off, & can see that the DNC has been taking them for granted & using them, but up until now felt they had no alternatives (yes there were Rs, but they for whatever reason, refuse to give them a chance). – Elyn
