Lindsay Clancy Case Gets Worse! Prosecutors Push For Another Trial
Lindsay Clancy’s return to court completely erupted as her lawyers demanded that the murder charges be dismissed on double-jeopardy grounds. Defense attorney Kevin Reddington publicly identified the lone holdout juror while questioning his phone use and truthfulness during jury selection, prompting repeated interventions from Judge William Sullivan. The judge and attorney raised their voices, talked over each other and were eventually told to dial everything back.
The judge did not dismiss the charges or rule on the prosecution’s requested gag order. The juror’s attorney says he is being attacked simply because he did not vote the way the defense wanted. Prosecutors now say they intend to retry Clancy if the case proceeds, although they have not decided whether to pursue the same charges. Another hearing is scheduled for November 16, and the judge merely suggested that a retrial could begin in March. There was no plea, release or custody change.
