A US official, Iranian state media and Iraq disputed a report that Tehran had rejected a new ceasefire proposal conveyed by the Iraqi prime minister. The US and Iran traded fire on the 13th consecutive night of the US’s bombing campaign and President Donald Trump signaled he’s not yet ready to negotiate.
Trump told Axios’s Barak Ravid that he was “considering a massive attack” on Iran and that he was “close to making a decision.” In the interview, he also said Israel “would join in two minutes if I ask them to,” but he added that “we don’t need anybody” to launch a new operation.
