This is the same man who said Trump would never be elected President in 2016. He really should stay out of politics as his insane views make him look so out of touch with reality.
Actor George Clooney has expressed admiration for President Biden’s recent decision to step aside from the 2024 presidential race, calling it “the most selfless thing that anyone’s done since George Washington.” Clooney’s comments came during a press appearance at the Venice Film Festival, where he was promoting his new film, “Wolfs.” This is just about 100% BS, no?

In July, Clooney wrote a guest essay for The New York Times titled “I Love Joe Biden. But We Need a New Nominee,” in which he openly acknowledged Biden’s decline in performance and urged the Democratic Party to select a new candidate to challenge former President Trump in the upcoming election. Biden ultimately made the decision to step down, a move Clooney wholeheartedly supports.
“The person who should be applauded is the president who did the most selfless thing that anyone’s done since George Washington,” Clooney stated to reporters, emphasizing the difficulty of relinquishing power. “What should be remembered is the selfless act of someone who — you know, it’s very hard to let go of power. We know that. We’ve seen it all around the world. And for someone to say, ‘I think there’s a better way forward.’ All the credit goes to him … And all the rest of it will be long gone and forgotten.”
Clooney’s essay was seen as a significant influence on Biden’s decision to leave the race. The essay was published shortly after a problematic presidential debate performance by Biden, which led to public calls from several of his allies for a new candidate to represent the Democratic Party. Clooney’s stance was clear: despite his personal respect for Biden, he believed that the party needed to look forward to a different candidate to secure victory in the 2024 election.
During his remarks at the Venice Film Festival, Clooney did not mention Vice President Kamala Harris, and he continued to express optimism about the future. “I’m just very proud of where we are in the state of the world, which many people are surprised by, and I think we’re all very excited for the future,” he said.

Reflecting on his essay, Clooney noted the decline in Biden’s vigor and capacity compared to his past performances and highlighted the concern many have about Biden’s ability to serve another term. “It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe ‘big F-ing deal’ Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020,” Clooney wrote. “This is about age. Nothing more. But also nothing that can be reversed. We are not going to win in November with this president.”
Clooney and many in Hollywood have their heads up their rears when it comes to politics.
