Iran state television broadcast footage it said showed Revolutionary Guard fast-attack boats conducting routine patrols in the Strait of Hormuz.
State television added that the patrols’ mission is to guide transiting vessels and stop any ship that violates Revolutionary Guard warnings.
Iranian media said on Tuesday that the application system for vessel passage through the Strait of Hormuz is now fully open, enabling shipowners and captains worldwide to apply at any time of day.
On the same day, IRGC Navy said that 24 ships had sailed through the Strait of Hormuz within the past 24 hours in coordination with its forces.
The vessels sailed through the waterway under the protection of IRGC naval forces after obtaining permission, according to the Public Relations department of the IRGC Navy.
