Drone footage from Pereira, Colombia, showed widespread destruction on August 12, following a powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck the country’s coffee-growing region on August 10. Collapsed buildings, rubble and damaged vehicles were visible as people searched through the debris. The quake, described as the most devastating to hit Colombia this century, reportedly left at least 250 people dead and caused extensive damage to homes, schools, health centers and apartment buildings.
