Fox News Digital obtained the Groundwork Collaborative dossier that progressive operatives assembled for the moment Democrats take control of Congress in January. Former Biden aides and alumni of Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren staffed the project. The document maps Trump donors and corporate allies for hearings, subpoenas, and document demands once the 120th Congress convenes. A Democratic Senate staffer told Fox that majority committees already plan to focus exclusively on the president’s allies and donors, including anyone who gave to the White House ballroom.
Tesla is named outright. So are Apple, Amazon, Oracle, Trump Media, and World Liberty Financial. Palantir’s Alex Karp and Coinbase’s Brian Armstrong get personal mentions. The blueprint calls for possible hearings with executives from OpenAI, Meta, Google, Microsoft, and others. It also urges investigations into Trump’s personal finances, tax arrangements, cryptocurrency businesses, and any preferential treatment of corporate donors. Pages later push expanded federal oversight of artificial intelligence, restrictions on algorithmic pricing and workplace surveillance, and scrutiny of the administration’s Medicare AI program.

Bharat Ramamurti, former deputy director of the National Economic Council and longtime Warren economic adviser, coordinated with Groundwork on the file. He framed the agenda around corporations that “have been doing very well” while families face higher prices. Groundwork executive director Lindsay Owens has spoken of “resignations of major CEOs, hauling people in, material restitution.” Progressive Caucus members and incoming committee chairs (Warren at Banking, Sanders at HELP, Whitehouse at Judiciary) have seen versions of the plan.
On X the reaction was immediate and blunt. Users called it a spiral-bound revenge tour and a political hit list prepared while voters still expected action on groceries and rent. One post noted the timing: three days after the election, 182 pages of targets, zero pages on tax cuts or growth. Another pointed out that companies which worked with the Trump administration—Apple on ICE-related apps, Meta on data centers, Musk’s companies on AI and government contracts—are now in the crosshairs. Fox News Politics highlighted Democrats who campaigned on cost of living then immediately posted about subpoenas and “Lawyer Up.”
Democrats are officially the Communist Party, 181 pages of political targets https://t.co/zdYHpijvFC

Musk is the clearest early target. His companies appear in both the Groundwork document and contemporaneous Washington Post reporting on Democratic investigative priorities. Lawmakers are already eyeing use of Grok in military planning and any federal contracts that followed from alignment with the administration. Apple and Amazon sit on the same list for the same reason: they dealt with the elected government instead of treating it as an enemy.
The plan treats American technology firms that refused to remain permanent opposition as fair game for congressional process. Hearings, document demands, and potential legislation on AI, pricing algorithms, and corporate ownership are written into the same binder that names the companies. A House Judiciary Democratic aide tried to wave the document off as “one of many,” but the Senate staffer description of exclusive focus on Trump allies matches the document’s own targets.
Voters who heard months of affordability talk will now watch the committees open on Tesla, OpenAI, and ballroom donors. The 182 pages are already circulating among the people who will hold the gavels in January.
