Crews were hard at work June 17 assembling the massive Freedom 250 Ferris Wheel on the National Mall ahead of next week’s opening of the Great American State Fair. The 110-foot attraction will serve as a centerpiece of the fair, which runs from June 25 through July 10 as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebration, featuring exhibits, entertainment, rides and showcases from all 50 states and U.S. territories.
