An Inside job? It is looking like it more and more. Someone high up wants Trump dead. In our opinion. Will Congress actually interview the snipers and SS agents so they can actually get answers?
The tension was palpable as the crowd at the Butler, Pennsylvania, rally buzzed with anticipation. But unbeknownst to them, a sinister plan was unfolding just above their heads. New footage has brought to light the hair-raising moments leading up to the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump, revealing the raw courage and chilling proximity of those involved.

Captured on a police officer’s body-worn camera, the footage opens with an officer being hoisted onto the roof of a building overlooking the rally. His breath is heavy, his pulse racing as he surveys the scene. It’s not long before he spots him—Thomas Matthew Crooks, armed and dangerous, positioned like a predator waiting to strike. The officer’s reaction is immediate; he drops out of sight, the weight of what he just witnessed crashing down on him. “F**king this close, bro,” he later breathes to a colleague, the adrenaline still coursing through his veins.
Forty seconds later, Crooks makes his move. He turns, aims, and fires eight shots. The target? Donald Trump, standing on the stage below. One bullet finds its mark, grazing Trump’s ear, as chaos erupts around him. The officer’s earlier sighting, though brief, was a moment that hung between disaster and the deadly. It was enough to prompt action—a Secret Service sniper, perched nearby, responded with lethal force, taking down Crooks before he could unleash further carnage.

But this close call has raised more questions than it has answered. Further footage obtained through a public records request reveals a disturbing truth: local officers had previously warned the Secret Service about the very building from which Crooks launched his attack. Days before the rally, they had urged federal agents to station guards near the structure, sensing its vulnerability. Their warnings, it seems, fell on deaf ears.
In the dashboard camera footage of the officer involved, the tension escalates. Shots ring out—three, followed by five more. The officer’s voice, sharp with urgency, slices through the noise: “Don’t put up your head – he’s right there!” Chaos reigns as law enforcement scrambles to secure the scene. They reach the roof, only to find Crooks lifeless, his blood staining the surface, his rifle lying ominously by his side.
The fallout from this incident has been swift. In a statement released shortly after the footage came to light, the Secret Service admitted to a serious lapse in their protective measures. “The attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump was a U.S. Secret Service failure,” admitted spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi. The agency is now in the process of reviewing and updating its protocols, a step that seems almost too little, too late.

But the story doesn’t end with the rally. Senator Chuck Grassley has brought forward documents from the Clairton Sportsmen’s Club, where Crooks spent months meticulously preparing for his deadly mission. The records paint a disturbing picture: Crooks, a regular at the rifle range, visited the club 43 times after becoming a member in August 2023. His final visit was just hours before the rally on July 12, 2024. His actions, methodical and calculated, reveal a man consumed by a deadly purpose.
