A hydrogen-powered JCB Hydromax blasted across Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats at 406.320 mph, setting a new world land speed record. Driven by former Royal Air Force Wing Commander Andy Green, the 32-foot car is powered by two hydrogen internal combustion engines producing a combined 1,600 horsepower. A massive fire broke out in an industrial building near Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport on August 11, sending thick smoke high into the sky.
