Video released by the Austin Police Department shows the moments following the shooting of Wilber Rafael Garces Perez, a 28-year-old Venezuelan DoorDash driver who was shot in the back by a federal immigration agent in Austin, Texas. Following brief hospital treatment with the bullet still lodged near his spine, Garces Perez was transferred to an ICE detention facility, where his attorneys and local lawmakers stated he suffered severe pain, partial paralysis on his left side, and inadequate care.
