A former federal prosecutor shared with the Daily Mail a troubling theory about why police have yet to name any suspects or make any arrests in the homicide investigation. Rivas had been reported missing from Lake Elsinore in 2024 when she was only 13 years old. Then on Sept. 8th of this year, her remains were found in the trunk of a Tesla registered to David Anthony Burke, a 20-year-old New York-born recording artist.
