One Guardsman and a suspect were wounded in an exchange of gunfire after troops encountered a disturbance in DC’s Capitol Hill neighborhood late Sunday. Interim Police Chief Jeffrey Carroll said both men were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The shooting comes amid President Trump’s ongoing deployment of National Guard troops to the nation’s capital as part of his crime-fighting push.
