Russian President Vladimir Putin flexed Moscow’s military muscle Friday, overseeing massive Centre-2026 war games involving more than 47,000 troops in Russia’s Ural region. The drills included forces from Belarus, China and Pakistan, as Putin toured an exhibition of Russia’s latest weaponry and met with foreign military attachés. The show of strength came just a day after Putin warned the West against escalating tensions over Ukraine, saying Russia would use its entire arsenal — including nukes — to defend its Kaliningrad exclave if threatened.
